OUR STORY

Latinas make up a mere two percent of U.S. House members, and only one percent of U.S. Senators. PODER PAC fuels innovative candidates who are determined to change the current political landscape and the institutions that govern us. Our empowered Latina candidates demonstrate a commitment to our Latino community and the inequities we face everyday.

CHAIR'S MESSAGE

At a time when reproductive rights are under attack, PODER PAC’s mission is more important than ever. From coast to coast, Latinas are rising up, speaking out, and running for federal office. Together, we will elect more Pro-Choice Democratic Latinas to federal office who will protect our rights.

FOUNDING MEMBER

Grace Garcia
February 24, 1955 - June 2, 2014

Tenacious. Graceful. Strategic. Diligent. Kind. Those are just a few words that come to mind when we think about our beloved friend, sister, and fellow PODER PAC Co-Founder – Grace Garcia. Beautiful inside and out, Grace embodied the very best of Latina leadership. Grace dedicated herself to uplifting our community and ensuring Latina representation in her home state of Texas and across the country. Though taken from us too soon, PODER PAC lives on through Grace’s light, strength, enthusiasm, and spirit!
