Political Transformations:
Inspiring Latinas on the Move
Our 2012 Conference at the National Education Association (NEA) in downtown Washington, D.C., was an incredible success and an inspirational call to action. Participants left motivated and focused with plans to promote and support Latinas to elected office and to support each other in our endeavors. Friendships were strengthened and new friendships formed. Catch some of our highlights from Monday's reception, and Tuesday's conference. We will share additional footage from the incredible presentations provided throughout the conference. Keep checking back!
About 2012 ConferenceWe hosted the 2012 PODER PAC Conference in Washington D.C. in order to organize Latinas and prepare them for the local, state, and national elections in Fall 2012. This was an opportunity to hear from national and local leaders about the significant policy issues at stake in the upcoming elections, enhance fundraising networks, and equip the participants with the tools to run or volunteer as part of the many campaigns that will make pivotal difference in our neighborhoods, schools, counties, cities, states, and the nation. Participants met motivated Latina professionals and leaders from a cross-section of industries and regions of the country.
There was a packed agenda, and we were able to grow our dynamic network of Latina leaders. See highlights from the Monday reception and Tuesday Conference. Since our launch in 2008, PODER PAC has endorsed over 20 candidates at the federal and state level, and while we are proud of what we have accomplished, we are just getting started. Our goals are big. Our mission is important. And we cannot do it without you. |
And the List Kept Growing...We were thrilled that PODER PAC endorsed candidate and winner of the New Mexico 1st primary
